Scripture
Helaman 5:12
And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Hey everyone!
This week has been very stressful for me. I think it was mostly because of the fact it was transfers week and everything was all hectic but the Lord definitely helped me get through it. I prayed every night that I could be more patient and be able to get through the week and before I knew it the week was over, now I'm ready to go out and work hard the next six weeks!
This week was really slow we did a lot of finding and street contacting !The part that made it really bad was the fact of how hot it was! I thought I was getting away from the heat in Arizona for a little then this week came and it was so hot and especially as were riding in the buses with so many people it really was not very fun lol but we made the best of it! We didn't have much success in finding new people but I feel we did our part in trying ... we just didn't find the seekers this week.. Sunday as we went out we were hoping to find new people but we had no such luck until we passed this guy named Kwame he was in a wheel chair and I walked by him said hi and started to walk away, then I had the impression to go back and talk to him and so I did and he was amazing ! We have an appointment with him next Sunday and I have a really good feeling about him and his future! Our recent convert Debra is doing great she's really progressing and is very strong in the gospel already! She knows what we're going to teach her before we even teach her! its amazing to see the changes people make in their lives to become closer to the lord!

Hello! as you all might already know I had my first baptism this past weekend! the lady named Debra that I've been talking about got baptized and well it was the most amazing experience ever! we had another baptism lined up but the guy ended up bailing on us and we haven't been able to get a hold of him but hey that's ok we plan on getting some more lol anyways so many amazing things have been happening. This coming week is the end of my first transfers! ya time flew by like everyone said it would! I've tried a lot of new food this past week mostly weird African food but hey its not that bad tasting its just really spicy with no flavor haha I was so nervous for my baptism but the Lord helped me through it and Debra was so happy after I finished bringing her up she started to cry in the water it was the best experience ever and she loves Elder Morgan and myself very much she has strengthened my testimony tremendously I cant believe the way the gospel changes lives... well actually I can believe it and its so cool to see people make a complete change and be baptized. one hilarious thing that happened at the baptism was we brought one of our investigators to the baptism to watch and he went into use the toilet and I was outside waiting for him and he was taking a long time but he eventually came out and said "i found your churches pool" haha apparently he got lost in the toilet room and walked straight into the baptismal font and fell in completely haha well he's already half baptized so we only got half to go haha just kidding! one clever way we came up with to spread the gospel was when its raining my companion and I buy cheap umbrellas and hand them out to people with a pass-along taped to the handle and its actually worked were teaching a family right now because of my umbrella trick lol so were definitely going to keep using that! the other day we were walking home from church and we saw a motorcycle crash right in front of our eyes its was so crazy so we ran over to see if they were ok and they weren't they both had to be taken to the hospital it was a mess the t-boned a car and it was really not a good scene at all. I'm so excited for the rest of my mission I love spreading the gospel so much and I'm so happy that I'm able to be out here serving the Lord its a great blessing! I know this church is true and I know Joseph Smith did restore the church upon to this earth again and without him I wouldn't be here doing this I love him and look up to him I love sharing about him with people and I always stop people and tell them of Joseph Smith because people need to know our churches history! Anyway I love you mom right back soon your amazing!

hello my beautiful mother how are you doing? hows everything going?? well i have so much to tell you so here i go !baptism:) the other day we went for a dinner appt. and we were waiting for the food and it came out and it was goat...... i was like maybe i shouldn't have asked but it was quite tasty lol you know of course i ate it.another great thing you'll be glad to hear is I've stopped biting my nails...after 19 years of it I've stopped haha they look really good! were teaching so many new people and im getting good at teaching the lessons my scriptures are so very marked up its so cool lol. the other day we were walking and we were contacting people and a stupid pigeon pooped on me as i was talking to a person about the gospel.... talk about embarrassing ha we've met this really cool guy called jah jah and hes an xbox repairer and hes really a good guy he smokes but we wrote our testimony in a book of Mormon and gave it to him and were continuing to teach him theres no doubt he will be baptised. me and my companion are basically pro gardeners.. we have grown some jalapenos and some tomatoes(which I've come to like) were having a blast out here bringing the gospel to people and maturing. my companion said theres no doubt in his mind ill get called for a leadership position cause all the missionaries in my zone have never met a missionary like me they all say its so amazing how I've learned the whole mission life and picked up on teaching so quick so I'm very excited for that. were teaching this lady called emelia from ghana and we invited her to be baptised but theres one problem... shes afraid of water! i thought it was kind of silly at first but then i thought about it and its really not its her fear just as we all have our own fears... so were working with her and she as well should be getting baptised on the 25th. and another exciting thing that's happened is i gave my first haircut to myself... and it turned out great haha all the missionaries want me to cut their hair .. can you say future in hair cutting?? jkjk we played the Spanish branch today in soccer... the missionaries have never beat them before well...until today we beat them 14 to 5 i had five goals haha anyways I'm on for two hours so email me back i have lots more to tell you! i love you mother your so amazing and i miss you so much
