Scripture

Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Hey Everone!
This week has been very slow but very good.  We're teaching a lot of new people and our new ward mission leader is a great guy.  He has an amazing plan for us and the ward so were looking forward to working with him! he said he'll do anything to get people to church even it takes him dressing up in a chicken suit?? i mean i guess if that's what it takes i guess he can do that lol. But that lad Kwame who I talked about last week .. came to church!!!!!  i was so happy he came , he's handicapped and he was unsure about going to our church he flogged us twice but we kept pushing him to come and he said he didn't have a tie so i gave him the one i was wearing lol so he couldn't really use that as an excuse. But he came to church! as i was pushing him into the church building.  I tried to push him through the door and i wrecked him... and i couldn't get him in the door.  I  thought it was Satan trying to keep him from going in but I realized it was a bad wheelchair driver lol  He loved it and said he felt the spirit and the ward was so great to him he made new friends and everybody was thrilled to have him there so were were really happy about that and his baptism is scheduled for the end of this month so ill keep you posted on how that goes! other than that this week was really slow were teaching a lot of people but we're not getting anywhere with them .. i guess we need to work even harder which is totally no big deal cause we love working for the lord :) so were excited for this coming week and looking forward to a hard / successful week:) that's all for this week!

hahaha KI$$E$:)
So this week has been kinda of slow but we had a very good week! were teaching this guy named Kwame and hes and African lad from Ghana and hes going to be baptised in about two weeks! he has a problem with the law of chastity and word of wisdom but he knows this is the true church so I'm not too worried about him accepting to live those laws!
Yesterday we watched The Restoration with him and the spirit was so strong i could definitely tell he felt it ! he already has a testimony of the Book of Mormon and thinks its amazing how Joseph Smith saw god and Jesus Christ and how much faith he had to have in order to not deny it! so were looking forward to teaching him and his progression!
We got a new ward mission leader this Sunday he's a really nice guy I mean he tucks his tie into his pants... but other than that he's a great guy and we're looking forward to working with him! One new thing that has happened this week is the members have been doing a lot of missionary work. They haven't really been doing a lot in the past but they are starting to trust us a lot more and so they are bringing their friends to us and were teaching them so we have a lot of baptisms coming up ! Were working really hard to bring people to Christ and god is leading us and were teaching by the holy ghost i know without a shadow of a doubt this is the true church and that Joseph Smith did restore this church to the earth again! I'm so thankful for prayer and I know god does answer our prayers if we will pray with real intent to him. I have a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon i know it will help us with all our problems we face in life as i have seen it help me on my mission thus far! I'm so thankful to be on my mission there's no better feeling than bringing people to Christ and seeing the gospel change their lives! how can it not be true??  Well that's all for this week !

Hey how is everything going?? I had to get on early cause i have a couple teaches later on today and i wont be able to get on later! but guess what! were having another baptism on the 23! his name is Kwame and hes from Ghana! hes really amazing we were walking by his house and he was in his wheel chair and i said hi to him then started to walk away but then i had a feeling to go back to him and talk to him about the gospel! so i did and now hes going to be baptized! its incredible how the spirit works! things are going pretty good the ward is finally warming up to us we got invited to this 4th of July party by this American family and were really happy with how things are going! its really cool every companionship in our district has one or more baptism dates and that was our goal for this transfer and we have all been working really hard! i have a hilarious story to tell you: so the other day as me and my companion left the house i walked out and realized i had grabbed the wrong keys.. yes i got us locked out not only that but we realized we left our phone in the house so we went about our day and we had a dinner appointment and got back at like ten o clock so then i realized dang were locked out haha and we figured we had like 100 missed calls... so our second story window was open so we decided to be very daring... since i locked the keys in the house i had to get on the  trash can then step on Elder Morgans shoulders and he would launch me up and id grab the ledge and get in the window.. that's what the plan was.  so i get on the trash can and I'm getting ready so be launched up and so i do it and he launches me up in the air and i grab the ledge ... only problem is that the ledge was slanted downwards so my hand slipped off and I'm like ohhh no I'm coming down and  I fall and he tries to catch me and he falls and i hit the trashcan....so we get up I'm hurting ... and we have to do it a second time long story short we barely succeed and we had 28 missed phone calls lol everyone was worried about us lol. but things are going really great in catford were teaching a lot of new people and were really satisfied with our teaching pool and how were growing as missionaries! anyways mom i love you i hope to hear from you ill be on for like two hours!
