Hey Mum and Dad how are you doing today?:) I'm doing good this week was pretty bomb. We taught a lot of people although our temple trip didn't work out it was a good week. We did some basketball contacting. In the white handbook it says to try new and creative ways of finding people to teach. so we tried basketball contacting. It worked. We taught like six people at the courts! Some of them are like 15-16 years old and they really look up to us since I'm good at ball and the fact that we abstain from certain things and they have all wanted to learn more. So we're hoping this week to go and teach them and their families! It's made me really happy though being able to be looked up to from the youth here, its hard for teens now a days and like if i can help them and change their lives ill be happy so were excited for that! Adam has a baptism date for the 25th! We had a family home evening this past week at a members house and we showed him the bible videos and we talked about Christ and the Atonement it was a sweet experience. ( I was leading the FHE) there were times during it where I just couldn't talk I just let the spirit touch everyone because it was so strong in there. The church is true. I also watched "Two Brothers" again last night. man that movie gets me every time. It makes me want to do better and it makes me realize how much I miss my brother and my family in general. It was a nice reminder that I have an amazing family back home. I'm reading Jesus the Christ right now as well as the old testament. I'm not sure how I feel about the old testament, yet ha ha its got some interesting stuff in it. But hey my knowledge is growing and I'm thankful for that! this week ....I was going to put on my sweats, and I'm deathly afraid of SPIDERS!...I found the biggest spider ever on my trousers and I screamed so loud!  It was about the size of my palm. It was so big! I freaked out. and the past few nights I feel like little spiders have been crawling on me lol but I got rid of the spider. luckily England only has one poisonous spider! lol I'm good I'm happy the church is true, Jesus is the Christ and I'm happy I'm on a mission wouldn't want to be anywhere else. love you mum and dad.

Hello Mum and Dad!
We had a really good week this past week. We taught a lot of people. We set a goal to hold a family home evening at least once a week for our investigators and it has been going well. We've accomplished it and it's helped our people a lot. This man we're teaching called Adam, his wife is a member we taught him the plan of salvation this past week and he accepted to be baptized and we just need to set a date for him!  His wife and him are so cool! We're seeing them three times this next week as well as going to the temple with them. I know that will be the extra punch that Adam needs! We're still teaching Cindy, but right now she isn't dong to much which is unfortunate. but were still working with her to try and get her to progress were going to extend  a new date to her this upcoming week! We're excited for her and we hope she will except. We have been doing a lot of knocking and finding to try and find new investigators its going well we have picked up a few cool people who we need to contact this next week. A member brought a friend from turkey this past week so were going to be teaching him. So things are going great. the ward is great they love Elder Silito and I. We get fed every night! its bomb. I'm really enjoying the work here in reading especially with elder Silito I've been able to help him a lot but he has also helped me which is really awesome. I'm grateful for that. Things are good and time is going fast. I can't believe that I only have 8 mnths left!

Um...ya:) I caught three fish that day. Elder Silito did as well. But everytime he tried to pick up the fish to take a picture the fish would slip out of his hand back in the water hahaha

Hey mum and dad! the Olympic torch went through our city the other day and so we went over to the other elders flat and stood on their fourth story balcony and watched the torch. I took some sweet videos but I took only a few pictures! Here's a few! love ya both!

Hey mum! Things are going good. Elder Silito and I are having a lot of fun here in Reading. We're doing some cool things. There is this homeless man called Jim that we talk to everyday and he's such a good guy. So when I was talking to him today I had the impression to give him  a gift bag sort to speak of new clothes and a new jacket because his are dirty.  It will be awesome he's a good guy we also met this lady called Mary who came up to us in the streets and said she wanted to be taught by us she just left her husband and is struggling financially so were going to try and help her out if she come she comes to church and stuff. many miracles happening here!! things are good:) love ya mum

June 2012/Temple Day

Hey Mom and Dad,

This week has been really good:)

The weather has been super sunny except for the last few days its been really cloudy and rainy but its okay I like the rain.

So nothing too exciting has been going on this week, we're doing a lot of  trying to find new people to teach and its going good. I don't know if its been on the news there but right now there is this thing called the Diamond Jubilee occurring its basically where the Queen has been on the throne for sixty years. So here in England we're celebrating. I guess it's a big deal because it only happens like once a lifetime and I'm here for it :)  It's been a really good week. Elder Silito is teaching me to play the guitar as well as the ukelele so I am going to continue to play and learn the uke when I get home as well.  

We're hopefully going to be having a baptism on the 23rd that is if Cindy accepts the date. She's definitely ready for it but she's nervous so were going to help her get over that this week. I got called  Elder ARNOLD this past Sunday, I mean it's okay cause I'm new there and the ward is still learning my name.  haha

Today for p-day we're going to the park. The whole zone is going to play football as well as go to this humongous community party.  there will be free Caribbean food and stuff so it should be really awesome. I'm doing good,  I'm healthy and happy and things are awesome  I love you guys so much. Thank you for all you guys do, I really appreciate it mum and dad I love you guys!

this week has definitely been a good one except the fact that im realizing
this last few mths , everything is my lasts my last summer in England my
last Christmas and etc its crazy time flies by so fast. but hey its all
good. Things are going good and elders before us left us a good teaching pool.
We are teaching this awesome girl called Cindy and her best friend called
Donna were going to give them dates this week hopefully they will accept.
and were teaching this guy from Sierra Leone, he's called Ishmael. He's so
awesome one of the coolest guys I've met in a while he is so nice and sensitive to
the gospel.  He's struggling with a few things but he'll get over them this
week that's what were focusing on. I love the Reading ward its really cool. The
people are so nice and welcoming and they love missionary work. I've been
thinking this week a lot lately, how much my mission has changed me and how
much I've learned. I'm so happy I made the decision to come out here. I see
the world going downhill and I needed these experiences to help me as i
grow. I know for a surety that the gospel is true and this week I promised myself
 that I would always put God first in my life, no matter what.
I cant deny that this church is true because I know it is.
I realized this week that time is flying by. I miss you guys like crazy, its weird,
 like in the mission im getting really old. There are all these new misisonaries out and
 I'm like " who are you"? haha I've been out longer then a lot of the elders here haha its cool though.
I like this area in Reading cause everybody is friendly although there are dodgy
characters here as well most people are open to talk to us. Last week at
church guess who I met, a guy from Arizona , from tempe haha he was over
here on business I didn't know him but it was cool and ironic to meet someone
from Arizona in Reading of all places ha. So yeah, this week has been great
guys. I'm happy and doing good .I miss and love you both so much!

Elder Armijo

The baptism went amazing. basically she was struggling to get Sundays off and they told her that she could get them off but then the day of her baptism the manager told her that if she wanted Sundays off then she would need to find a new job so she quit on the spot she told them going to church was most important to her! We got the call during stake conference telling us that and I started crying.  Seriously how much commitment does that show? Her baptism went so good. There was awesome support from the ward which was really good and everything turned out perfect. I'm very grateful to have been able to baptize her but Elder Corca gave her an amazing blessing and now look what the pay-off is of her getting baptized.... her 6 kids will now be able to grow up in the gospel and I guess there's no other feeling that compares to that one. Knowing we changed someones life! Also, drew my last baptism made me a scrap book entry and bore his testimony to me in it and seriously we changed him and the life of his family.  He wants to serve a mission and its so awesome. mum i love you everything with me is going great I'm happy and time is going by fast! Elder Corca is the bomb! I have lots of pics to send you so ill definitely do that tomorrow! i love you mom

Conference! 4/1/2012 in England!

 Hello Mum and Dad!
this week has been a sweet week.  It was conference weekend and we had a blast listening to the Prophet and his apostles.  I know for a fact that they are called of God and that they are inspired men. The sister missionaries in our district came down to watch conference at our chapel and we all went over to a members home yesterday to eat after priesthood session then later on in the day we made homemade pizza it was a blast. not very many people go to watch conference at the chapel so there was only a few people there probably like six or seven  but conference on a mission is a great experience!  I know when I was at home and I struggled to stay awake for one session now I am out here watching 5 sessions!  It's sweet!  I loved it. We are teaching this girl named Emily.  She's a friend of drew and she came to conference yesterday and was asking so many good questions were going to take her to the temple next Monday it should be really amazing!   i love you guys so much:))
