Scripture

Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Hey there mom and dad! Happy New Year to the both of you! I'm doing great I had a really good week and time is just going by so fast! My companion and I are getting a long great still and were working very hard! We have found a few good people that we are teaching but other than that were doing a lot of finding! How is everything back home?  We had some good miracles this week. We were on the bus and we started talking to this lady called paula and well she seemed semi interested but we gave her a Book of Mormon and then got off the train, later that evening we got a text from her telling us thank you for the book and saying how we came to her at just the right time in her life so we should be meeting with her this week sometime hopefully. then we went back to this potentials house and we knocked on his door and he didn't answer. We left and went about our day, then we got a call and its the guy whose house we knocked on telling us he'd like us to come by and give him some encouragement because his wife left him right before Christmas with his five yr old boy.  So were going to be teaching him this week sometime.  He's a great guy with a good head on his shoulders! well I hope everything is going great for you guys back home I'm doing great its a new year and  I hit my half way mark in 3 months!!! so crazy I love you guys!!

Hey Mom and Dad..... not much has happened since I last emailed you guys except that Pam and Nicole the ladies from Trinidad that we were teaching , dropped us. They said it wasn't for them,  but they have their agency. We are working so hard to find new people and slowly were finding them but I have to be patient. But Theo is going to be baptised On the 24th.  He came to church for the first time in like a year so we're excited for him and his progress. He's an English guy about mid 20's and he is amazing! I'm excited for him he says his ultimate goal is to get to the temple. we are working so hard and only thirteen days until we get to Skype!!   love you guys.

Hello there Mom and Dad  ......... This week has been really good. We have been working really hard and it is starting to pay off. I was on exchange with the zone leaders and I stopped this 14 yr old kid on the street and talked to him about the Book of Mormon and we set up a return appt with him. Although I was not able to attend the appt cause that is not my area I heard from the zone leaders how amazing the kid is.  He reminded them of Joseph Smith and he just soaked everything in and he is  now going to be baptised.  I could tell when I was talking to him that the gospel was for him as soon as I saw him i thought in my head , '' That's the new teachers quorum president".   What an amazing young man I'll be updating you on how he is doing. Other  than that we really have been finding new people who are ready for the gospel and they all have their small little challenges. but we are here for them.  Recently I have been on this spiritual high, and I don't feel it wearing off at all . I'm determined to find those people who need the gospel and my knowledge of the gospel has increased so much so I feel very comfortable talking with everyone about it.   I learn new things everyday its so amazing to be here and I'm so thankful to the Lord that he is giving me the strength to continue strong. He does answer prayers. Health wise I'm doing amazing nothing is wrong with me just working hard. I miss you guys so much but guess what!! only f4 more weeks till i get to skype with you guys! I'm so excited! i hope all is well with you family:) stay amazing!

Hello there Mom and Dad...... what a wonderful day to be alive aye? lol I'm doing
amazing! this week has been really hard , work wise we've been working so
hard a lot a lot of knocking! and our people didn't get baptised cause they
weren't completely ready so we postponed it. But despite these down sets I'm
doing really good I'm very happy and I'm working hard. I gave a talk this
past week on the book of Mormon, I told my personal experience with it and
I guess it turned out really good because people were coming up
telling me how amazing my talk was and even the stake president! but the
best thing that happened was my ward mission leader pulled me aside and
said''elder armijo I want you to know that my family and the rest of the
ward loves you so much you are an amazing missionary'' that made me so
happy and although we may not be having baptisms, we are changing
peoples lives and I'm very satisfied with that. I made homemade macaroni
this week it turned out pretty good.  I think I'm becoming a chef! but for
Christmas i know your wondering about that well I'm going to have two hours
to skype!! so i sent a letter telling you about all that  I am pretty sure it
will be Christmas day but I'm not sure what time yet or anything i ll find
out when it gets closer to the date! but I'm doing great mom and dad thanks
for all you do it really means a lot and i cannot believe I'm so close to
getting to talk to you guys!! I'm so excited! i don't need anything right now
you guys are fulfilling all my needs! anything i can do for either of you??
love you guys tons!
